Cory Arcangel installation
The Hall of Jurists in the historic Palazzo della Ragione in Bergamo exceptionally hosts an exhibition that leads with stealthy steps into the thrilling chromatic world of Cory Arcangel. The artist from Buffalo pours onto the terracotta floor of the oldest municipal building in Italy two hundred square meters of wonderfully striped textile flooring with all the colors of the rainbow, and even more. Above and around the carpet, created specifically for the occasion printed on “Vanity,” all the other works of the exhibition gravitate, as if pushed by a centrifugal force that flattens them against the walls, in a continuous reference, more or less explicit, to the “liquid,” digitized, and pop society in which we are immersed.
