Preview of the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023, the Tartan Doodles pattern marks the collaboration between Radici and Arthur Arbesser. “From the time when I lived in London, I was greatly impressed by the use of textile surfaces, a great classic of English interior style, used both in sophisticated domestic settings and in the classic and ubiquitous pubs,” explained the designer. “I decided to mix a pattern linked to classicism and traditional decorativeness – the red tartan – with something unusual and unexpected: an instinctive design, a doodle. It often happens to me to draw doodles while I’m on the phone and then turn them into patterns that I use for my collections.” The result is a lively canvas with an irregular pattern that lends itself to creating movement on the floor, running along highly decorative textile flooring.
