Tekla Evelina Severin – today better known as Teklan – was born in 1981 in Gävle, Sweden, but has been residing in Stockholm for 20 years. After graduating in 2010 in Interior Design and Architecture from Konstfack University of Arts and Crafts, she worked in several architecture and design studios in Stockholm before founding her own multidisciplinary studio, focused on color, in 2015.
Her work ranges from interior design, furniture, clothing, accessories, scenography, art direction, and photography, but at the core of everything is always color.
The new textile surfaces collection Newstalgia, designed for Radici by Tekla Evelina Severin – known as Teklan – reinterprets the style of 1960s and 1970s patterns, playing with colors and proportions. The name evokes the feeling of a past moment, a distant era, yet revitalized by the curiosity and energy tied to something new.
